Responsibilities of a Senior Practitioner in the Family Support Team:
- Develop and implement long-term plans for families
- Engage in planning and review processes for children receiving care and support, including those with child protection plans and court proceedings
- Supervise and mentor less experienced social workers and practitioners to achieve positive outcomes for children and families
- Lead on complex cases and chair key meetings such as case reviews and core group meetings
- Collect and analyse information to present at strategic meetings
- Monitor and assess the quality of work performed by social workers
- Conduct case reviews and provide feedback to enhance social workers' skills and practices
- Model good practice for less experienced social workers and support their well-being
Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification
- 3+ years of experience in a similar setting
- Supervisory or Senior Social Worker experience
- Social Work Wales registration or eligibility to apply
- Passion for achieving the best outcomes for children through direct work
- Creative and innovative approach
